Dietrich Lasa is the loyal owner and director of Animatos and has been since the business was founded in 1993 and the offocial store opening in Janurary 1996. After moving to Australia in 1985 Dietrich played Viola with the Queensland Symphony Orchestra. It was during that time that the idea for Animato's was cultured. The business started with the sale of strings to orchestral members, and from that point on the store grew into characterful shop we all love.

Dietrich strives to find the best sounding and quality instruments for the cheapest price tag, allowing our customers to enjoy better products for a fraction of the cost.
