As string players I am sure many of you have experienced dropping rosin. If you haven't it's quite traumatic. When rosin is dropped on a hard surface it shatters into a million little pieces. This is why you must be very careful when handling rosin. If you can, try practicing on a carpeted area. This will minimize the risk of breaking your rosin and even your bow when dropped.
Always store your rosin in your case when its not being used and keep it out of the sun. It will melt!
If you're finding the rosin is not sticking to the hair of your bow you may need to replace it. Rosin does get old and stale and will eventually be of no use. We have a variety of rosins to suit all instruments from Violin, Viola, Cello and Bass and to provide alternative products for all our customers needs from beginner to professional.
