Taking care of your case

Regardless of what string instrument you play you must look after your case. It plays a very important role in protecting your instrument from the elements and from natural disasters.
You should regularly check that your case is in working order. Check that the zippers and locks work, the handle is not broken or faulty, the strap is strong and secure and your instrument and bow are safely strapped in. Also check the stitching is strong with no loose threads, particularly on the handle of a soft cello/bass case. If you have any doubts about the quality of your case I would highly recommend that you upgrade.

If your case has any defaults you are risking the safety of your instrument. A good sturdy case will save you the hassle of repairs later on. The stronger the case the more protected the instrument inside.

There is a huge variety of cases to suit everyone's taste and budget from the trendy moon shaped case, the popular BAM France case or even our simple shaped cases for the modest musician.
