A Second Hand Violin is a good solution for a beginner. Each second hand instrument that Animato takes on has to be professionally restored in our workshop. All of our second hand instruments are hand carved from solid timbers and fitted with a hand carved bridge and ebony fittings. This second hand outfit includes a case, new bow and rosin.

In terms of sound, second hand violins sound as good as new violins. Some say over time the sound gets better, there is no guarantee that used entry level violins sound better than new entry level violin. But a second hand instrument is a great place to start.
